Now, I know better than to link y'all to a bunch of 300$+ pieces saying that these are MUST HAVES this fall. But I am going to link you to a bunch of things that are a range of prices, both for purchasing and with the intention of inspiring. DIY and thrifting are skills every person should work on. They are vital. These pieces cover a variety of styles, so don't be confused by the range here people. Be inspired. Also, pick up a black turtleneck. Multiple even. Because really, that's the most important thing you can own. They're like, five dollars at Wal-mart.

From etsy. Show off that body! Wear white after labour day! Lace that dress up as tight as you possibly can because you need some kind of motivation to keep that "summer body" you worked so hard on (ha, yeah, right.) |
 |
From zara. This skirt is great for those seniors who plan on graduating in December with the thesis presentations and looming job interviews. This can easily be DIY'd by just cuting up the side of a skirt you only kind of like, and sewing in some pleating on the side. Voila! Amazing. |
 |
Also from zara. I think this is a very smart dress, perfect for study dates right around that time of fall when the threat of snow looms. (with tights of course.) |
 |
from asos. Because a celine knock-off needs no excuse. What a perfect summer-to-fall piece. Just pair it with a darker colour (olive of course, maybe a deep purple?). To DIY? Just wipe off your picnic table cover and sew it up into a cute dress! |

Thats right folks, a 2 pack of chokers courtesy of asos. For those like me with a more malleable gender, these can be a great indicator of exactly how you feel today! I would wear both at the same time of course. Are you confused yet? To DIY just take some of that fabric rubber strings you see at summer camps and add some letter beads. How 2010 of you! |

From asos. Glamour needs no explanation. |

from vfiles. This bless shorts? jumpsuit? is a surprising basic piece you didn't know you wanted. Naturally you could just get a bandeau or one piece and put it under pleated shorts of the same colour, but isn't it so fun to tug up a strapless top and worry about camel toe? |
 |
from Vfiles. This Fear of God skirt is the most fall-to-winter friendly, and the easiest to DIY. How badass is that? Either just buy some plaid flannel and add a drawstring, or just butcher your favourite plaid flannel pajama bottoms. Boom. You're no longer wearing sweatpants to class. Be proud of yourself. |

This has no exact link or source, just a shot I found around that is #inspiring. Who knew I could have some love inside me for denim skirts after all? I love the shred that just says, "I am NOT a kindergarten teacher." Which makes this super easy to thrift and shred to pieces while thinking of exes or the fact that you HATE your ARTS 201 professor. It's okay, everyone does. |
 |
Another vfiles find. It's a moschino dress (gasp! where is the mcdonalds logo!) but I can't say I don't love it despite that. You already own a sweater dress right? I mean, I got my black turtleneck sweater dresses like, two fall seasons ago. Well, catch up, and then buy a leather harness to match. Whether you go the zana bayne, creepyyeha or otherwise unnoted route, you can't go wrong. The backpack look of this one is charming, but I'll never disagree with something a little more kinky. Just no spikes under the dress okay? That'll just ruin the lines.

I might do a part two of this post, depends on how I feel. Any questions? Any ideas? Anything you've found online that is similar? Hit me up.
