dior

Ah, Raf's Dior. Some are hardcore fans, while others rant about unwavering loyalty to a man who's best work is behind him. I'm somewhere in between. Most of his collections for dior, RTW and couture, have been disappointing and stale. This collection was a departure, but I can't say all-in-all that I was pleased.
There are a lot of great details about this collection that make taking a look worthwhile, but I found whole looks to be hard to look at for the most part, unless I concentrated on the model itself and not the looks.

On the topic of the casting though! A lot of people complained at the news of Jourdan Dunn being cancelled from Dior last night due to her "breasts", claiming racist casting. I sighed and moved on. I don't think Jourdan is very Dior, though if she can't get casted, then no black model could. How wrong I was! I was so pleasantly surprised by the amount of MoC on the runway! Jourdan and Marina especially. And while she is no MoC, I am always pleased to see my favourite girl of the moment, Ashleigh Good, walking.

Here though, is a group of pictures, the most appealing and my favourite parts of the collection.

I won't be doing any of the other couture collections from today, as they bored me to tears and I don't find them worth mentioning.
